Shadow Code
End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Henrique Adams, an individual based in Brazil ("we", "us"), the developer of Shadow Code (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on the Macs you use, for your own use, personal or professional. The Software is licensed, not sold.
2. Trial, free mode and license key
- For 7 days after you first open it, the Software works in full.
- After that, without a license key, the Software works in a free mode limited to 2 clones per project. Nothing is closed or removed.
- A license key unlocks the full version: as many clones as fit on your screen.
- The license key is checked on your Mac only. The Software does not contact any server to activate or validate it.
3. Purchase, delivery and refunds
- Purchases are processed by FastSpring, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record and handles payment, taxes and receipts. Its terms apply to the purchase.
- Refunds: within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked, requested at support@shadowcodeapp.com with your order number.
- Consumers in Brazil may withdraw from a purchase made outside a commercial establishment within 7 days of receipt (Código de Defesa do Consumidor, Lei 8.078/1990, art. 49). Nothing in this Agreement limits rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
4. Your license key
Your license key is for you. Do not share, publish, sell or transfer it. A key that is shared publicly or obtained by fraud may be blocked in a future update.
5. Restrictions
You may not: (a) copy, distribute, sublicense, rent or sell the Software; (b) remove or alter notices in the Software; (c) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent the law allows it despite this restriction; (d) use the Software to break the law or the terms of other apps.
6. Other apps
The Software opens and arranges windows of apps made by others (for example Claude, Cursor and Visual Studio Code). Those apps are not part of the Software and are governed by their own terms. Shadow Code is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, Anysphere, Microsoft or Apple. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC; Cursor is a trademark of Anysphere, Inc.; Visual Studio Code is a trademark of the Microsoft group of companies; Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.
7. macOS permissions
To arrange windows, the Software asks for macOS Accessibility permission. You can revoke it at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility; without it, the Software opens clones but does not arrange windows.
8. Privacy
The Software does not collect, send or sell any personal data. See the Privacy Policy.
9. Updates
Updates for version 1.x are included at no extra cost. A future major version may be a paid upgrade.
10. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or work with every app or setup.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in this Agreement limits rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
12. Termination
This license ends automatically if you break this Agreement. On termination, stop using the Software and delete it.
13. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
